1st Semester reflection
1) There were a few of my pieces where the quality of them weren't as good as the others, that is
because i didn't spend a lot of time on them, but overall i feel that the quality of my work was very good, because i focused on making my projects look realistic and the composition of my images were good. I took most of my pictures further than the original assignment, i thought out of the box. There was one time were i didn't complete my work on time, but i had a good reason as to why i couldn't and my marks weren't affected.
I put a lot of effort into my work and i spent quite a lot of time taking photos on the weekend, and i feel like it helped me get good marks on my pieces. My index prints were always full of pictures, because i always took a lot of pictures to so that i would have a lot more to chose from when i got to school. I didn't avoid difficult photographic ideas because i knew that i would get good marks if i tried a hard projects and succeed. I will focus on putting more effort in taking my pictures in the second semester, because i feel like i wasted a lot of time editing some of the pictures i took, because they were skew or at the wrong angle.
I participated in everything that we were told to do, like bringing a camera to class when needed and taking photos at home when we were asked to. I wasn't very good at staying on task and i was always behind the rest the class, so i will use my class time wisely and i will try stay on task this semester.
I think that i have my own style and my images have improved a lot since i started. I've become better on the technical side, i know where most of the editing tools are and i know how to use them properly. All of my projects have a meaning and convey a message. I've become more confident with making my messages stronger and more meaningful, which i am very happy with.
I think i would have to adjust the quality of my picture by using a camera instead go my phone, because i took most of my photos on my phone and that is why they didn't look very nice.
2) I would like to do more combing of pictures, where we use photoshop to make our project look realistic, like combing two different types of animals together.
